Following the success of this years’ BOFF the Chamber are hosting a late night shopping event on Thursday 28 November, the majority of the shops will remain open
for you to peruse the array of gift and present ideas they have for Christmas. As well as the shops remaining open we hope Father Christmas will fit us into his busy schedule and pay us a visit on the Market Place; for mum and dad they’ll be mulled wine and mince pies on offer and to really get into the Christmas spirit we shall be switching on the Christmas lights on the Christmas Tree and around the Market Place too. This will all take place from 6pm on the Market Place - lights switch on at 7pm. Prior to the late night shopping the Chamber will be erecting the Christmas Trees above homes, business properties and shops along the High Street and the Market Place. If you would like to help pretty the trees with their lights we shall doing this on Saturday 23 November and placing them in their holders on Sunday 24 November, if you want more information or would like to help on either day please call Samantha on 711784.
The Chamber will be holding their AGM and cheese and wine evening on Thursday 14 November at the Swan from 6.30pm, if you’re a current member, thought about becoming a member, have a view or idea about the Town or just want to get involved in our events we would be delighted to see you – please RSVP Samantha on 711784.
Finally we still have Nicola Gilbert’s Prize for her supper Bunny Carrot Cake that was the Winner for the Big Olney Bake Off, can Nicola contact me so she can claim her prize.
