Breakthrough Charity event turns the court pink
The annual Breakthrough Charity Tournament was held at Olney’s tennis club, and raised over £400 through the on-and- off court antics of 32 players and spectators, who all looked splendid in pink wigs, clothes and lots of odd accessories. The Norburys won the best dressed award, and Phil Bennett and Lynda Baker won the final. Thanks to Anne Bacon for a great event and the Jardine Motors Group and Davis Optometrists for their support
Olney Juniors win club senior events!
Olney ran its Summer Tournament Finals Day and our Juniors showed how good they have become by beating the adults in a number of events, which is great news for the future!
New winter season starts with wins for Olney
We are running a record 7 teams this season, including a Vets Bucks side, to give more a chance to play for Olney.
In the first match, Olney C played Olney D in a club derby. The C team came out the winners thanks to Phil Bennett, Philip Ramos, Lynda Baker and Cindy Parker. The D team was Rob Shacklock, Clive Baker, Emma Maitland and Liz Brewster. The A team started with a great win against Stony Stratford, thanks to Phil Anderson, Stephen Bateson, Gill Hogston and Eleanor Carter.
Coaching
