100% LIFEGUARDING SAFETY
Whilst swimming at Middleton Pool, the public can feel extremely safe! For several years Middleton Pool has run National Pool Lifesaving courses for the general public. Trainees who have achieved their certification have gone on to obtain employment as lifeguards not just at Middleton Pool but at other leisure centre venues across Milton Keynes and surrounding areas. In fact, Middleton Pool is one of the few remaining venues left where such training takes place.
Each year IQL (Institute of Qualified Lifeguards) UK of the Royal Lifesaving Society assesses Middleton Pool against 33 standards of excellence. The latest review showed that Middleton Pool achieved 100% of the total criteria reviewed. The assessor’s closing statement was, “Overall a very well organised centre with good systems in place. Well done”. f
