The torrential rain has gone (we hope) and it’s time to enjoy June.
The first weekend of June (2-5) is when the main celebrations take place to commemorate The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee marking 60 years reign.
In the planning are the Newport Pagnell Carnival (7th July); Soapbox Derby (8 July); 203rd Horticultural Show (1 Sept) and the Newport Muster (8 Sept); Lights & Parade (24 Nov). Newport’s Rotary Club is also featured inside. Olney: Beacon Lighting (4 June); Motoring Art Exhibition (2-30 June). And it’s time to polish the car again - The Newport & Olney Lions’ Motorama (10th June); Raft Race and Duck Race (24 June); Cherries will be available at Olney Cherry Fair (30 June).
