Dear Editor
we would like to thank everyone for their donations in memory of Eunice panter, which raised £332.91 for the macmillan cancer support fund and £1,550 for the addenbrookes cancer research fund. thank you all very much for your support.
I am writing to you and the local people of Olney and surrounding villages to say a huge Thank you for the support given to us throughout our fundraising journey for Maternity Worldwide.
The Really Festive day in December raised over £1600 for the charity and was a really fun day for all! We wanted to especially thank The
John Panter and Family
Bull Inn, Olney for being such a supportive venue for our events, and the Real Reindeer Company (www.realreindeer.co.uk) Sponsored by our local Willow Veterinary centres for visiting with their beautiful
Reindeer helping Father Christmas on the day.
Many local businesses and schools also showed generous support in donating raffle prizes and promoting our events, special thanks go to LilyT, Love Lana, Woosters, Jeyes, Happy Days Toy shop, www.getmountainbiking.co.uk, Aubergine, Le Petit Bijou, Metalyka, Olney First and Middle Schools, all of the local nurseries and of
course the Phonebox for publishing our promotional material. It
feels wonderful to be part of such a warm hearted community who so willingly help two local midwives raise money for such a worthy cause. Maternity worldwide helps to provide safe childbirth for women in developing countries; as you know we will be cycling across Ethiopia and visiting the birth centres that Maternity worldwide has launched
with all of the money raised! (www.maternityworldwide.org)
We have now successfully completed the bike ride across Ethiopia and are recovering with a sense of pride and achievement! The entire bike riding event raised over £25,000! and we are still getting donations following the bike ride! (Its not too late to give)!
Thank you again to all of our supporters in Olney and the surrounding villages throughout our fundraising efforts, and who knows?, we may even embark on some new fundraising ideas soon!
Please keep donating generously, we want to maximize the total fundraising as much as possible!

Fundraising to Volunteer in Africa for Three Months
With an “empty nest” I want to do something of value so will be volunteering as a homeopath in Tanzania for three months next January. However volunteering costs money! I can pay for my flight, but there are many additional expenses such as translators’ costs, training, local travel etc. so I am looking for help with these.
HomeopathyforHealthinAfrica.org is a voluntary non-profit organization treating AIDS patients with homeopathy. It has been in northern Tanzania since 2009 where there are now twelve clinics in the Kilimanjaro region, ranging from back yards and huts in small rural villages to AIDS support centres, a Maasai village and school, an orphanage and a hospital.
The results of homeopathic treatment are outstanding. It works in an integrative way with AIDS patients who are taking anti-retroviral drugs or helping those with no other source of medication. With health and energy they can return to work, care for and school their children and contribute to their community. Homoeopathy is safe, low-cost, effective, with few side-effects and well accepted by the Tanzanians.
