OUtDOOR HOmeS URGentlY neeDeD FOR FeRAl CAtS
Could you offer an outdoor home to feral cats? Currently the branch has a number of feral cats that urgently need safe homes.
Unfortunately ferals are difficult to re-home.
Unlike regular domestic cats they are happier without human companionship and prefer outdoor homes, i.e. farms, small holdings or anywhere with a little outdoor space.
They will require access to somewhere warm and dry, like a shed or barn, and need feeding once or twice a day. Contrary to popular belief, feral cats still depend on people for food. Only very few can survive on hunting alone.
Feral cats were once domestic cats, or the descendants of domestic cats, who are now living in the wild. Originally they may have been pets which have been abandoned by uncaring owners, or who could have simply wandered away from home and got lost, often due to not having been neutered.
All the branch’s feral cats are neutered and microchipped and we can loan out pens so they can be confined for the first 2-3 weeks in their new surroundings.
If you would like more information on feral cats, or would like to offer them a home, please call the Milton Keynes & North Bucks RSPCA on 01908 611179, or email us at cathome@mkrspca.org.uk The website address is www.mkrspca.org.uk

Olney and District Historical Society
The new programme for the Olney and District Historical Society is now ready for 2012 and is, as usual, very varied and full of interest. There is one big difference this year. We have changed our meeting night from Wednesdays to the third Tuesday of the month and we will meet in the big hall in the Olney Centre. We have had to do this because of the increasing numbers attending each month. All are welcome to join us.
20th March: History of Immunisation, Prof. Paul Davis as seen on TV.
