WINTER WONDERLAND
Class 1 have really enjoyed our recent wintry weather.
The children have had great fun building snow men, and doing phonics in the frost. In science they have taken advantage of the plunging temperatures to explore the freezing and melting processes.
Delightful smells of melting butter on crispy hot toast have wafted out of the classroom making everyone in school feel hungry!
The children’s favourite however was definitely making ice mobiles. There was great
excitement shown every morning at the appearance of the next new one!
The face right was made by adding a playdough mouth and eyes to a dish of coloured water. The children were fascinated to find that the playdough did not freeze leaving behind a smiley face. The young scientists offered lots of explanations!

Currying favour ... Lisa, Sally & Nicki have set off to Ethiopia to do their 220 mile bike ride raising money for MATERNITY WORLDWIDE. Here they are at one of their fund raising events at the Four Pillars
