BIG Poppy thank you
A big thank you to all who supported the ongoing Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. At the Legion throughout the year we are doing all we can to give wounded and injured service people specialist support, facilities and the time and space they need to rebuild their lives. We also help the families of those who made the ultimate sacrifice and lost their lives serving their country.
Through voluntary efforts via street collecting, Waitrose in MK, Singing for All Concert and commercial collecting, Olney RBL raised over £12,700. Thank you to all these volunteers who gave their time so willingly.
If you would like to get involved with the vital work of the RBL please contact me.

REQUEST FOR HELP FOR
LENT LUNCHES 2012
Lent Lunches 2012 are to raise money for Christian Aid which will take place at the URC Hall for six weeks from Friday 24th February – Friday 30th March. Offers of assistance for this CTNP annual event are requested from all the churches in Newport Pagnell and from anyone in our community who has two hours to spare on a Friday, even if it is only for one Friday during the six weeks.
Time involved would be from 11.30am–1.45pm. Tasks include setting up and laying tables, stirring soup, making tea/coffee, serving tables, washing up and tidying the hall at the end of the session. This may sound like hard work, but working together as a team is enjoyable, and for such a good cause!
Please contact Jennifer Mazzone 01908 613088 if/when you are able to give your time, and/or contribute homemade soup, one or more Friday lunchtimes.
