Well first of all let me wish everyone a Happy
New Year for 2012.
While the politicians of Europe pass blame and wrangle over the Euro and membership Treaties and the like, we can only get on with it, as we invariably have always done.
It is at the election box we can make our feelings known, or perhaps, on Europe especially, a Referendum?
It is perhaps quite amazing but with all of what is going on we still have people willing to give up their time and effort to support their favoured
causes and charities. During January we have many small local charities organising events and needing your support as well as the larger ones. One young group of industrialists who are getting on with it that we bumped into on Dickens Day on the High Street touting their wares were from Ousdale school. They were raising money for their young enterprise business, MasterCrafts, and have their picture on page 67. They are in the homemade crafts business and along with a few other young business entrepreneurs, were out showing off their business ideas. I am sure
the experience they will gain from the work they are doing will go with them into the future. We will probably rely on them more than they know! Yes it’s businesses as well that need our help, and as you all know I am a firm believer in keeping it local if you can and I think that is especially true at this time of the year.
So, let’s go into the New Year with the same enthusiasm I saw whilst talking to those Young Enterprise businesses.
