Why is Pilates so effective? It works on many levels and in a way that is unlike any other form of exercise. the method aims to change the way you move and to re-educate your body’s movement patterns. how many of you have wondered why the sit-ups you are doing are not working? the answer is that you are not working efficiently. Pilates gives you body awareness to understand how to make the most of your workout and target the right muscles.
So whatever your experience, Olney Pilates Studio holds a range of Pilates classes throughout the day and evening to meet your needs. Trip To London for The 3rd and 4Th newporT pagneLL Brownies
On Saturday 10th december 2011 a group of excited Brownies left a cold and frosty newport Pagnell on route to London at 8 am.
We started the day at the Science Museum where we headed for Floor 3 as we knew there was lots of interactive items for the girls to do, they were especially interested in the rocket launching across the room. Some of the girls watched a show all about Flash Bangs and Wallops and some of our girls were asked to take part in, they thought that was fantastic.
We spent 2 hours on this floor with all the girls being fully entertained, happy and learnt a lot about science without realising they were doing it. We then went to the basement where we had a well earned lunch.
after out lunch break we made our way back to the front of the natural history museum to re board our coach and make our way to Icando at Guide headquarters for a Winter Wonderland craft afternoon.
We started the afternoon at 2 pm finding out what our group names were. We were split into two groups named Snowmen and holly. the afternoon of fun included making Marshmallow Snowmen, cardboard angels for the top of the Christmas tree, Baubles and pipe cleaner stars. the highlight of the afternoon was a visit to Santa where the girls were told a story and all asked by Santa what they wanted for Christmas and if they had been good this year!! they all received a gift, which they were told not to open until Christmas!! this was then followed by shopping and singing of Christmas Carols.
at 5.15 the afternoon ended and we made our way back to the coach for the journey home. the Coach driver kindly drove us through the Christmas lights in Marble arch on route to the M1. the girls loved this and there were lots of wows coming from the Coach.
We arrived back at newport Pagnell at 7.30 tired but happy and feeling festive having had a full fun-packed day which we all enjoyed.
