Let me be at least near the front of the queue
when it comes to wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
If ever there was a time to shop local it is at Christmas, see inside for lots of bargains and competitions which our advertisers have on offer for this festive season.
Our seasonal bargains inside range from meals for two all the way up to housing, so don’t let anyone put you off that bargain! One story we had to cut this month was the lighting problem in Stanley Court, thanks to
the lady who sent us the pictures (pretty dark they were, even with the flash) but someone has come round and is fixing them! So you can walk down the steps or the alleyway at night now without worrying about taking a tumble. So well done to whoever was responsible for getting that sorted.
We must also say well done to Rachel Mann’s efforts with The Saltpond Education Project (see page 8).
I remember the first article that was sent in by Rachel and it is pleasing to see the project
still going and not only that but from strength to strength. I must also mention Willow Vets are doing rather well on page 65.
Father Christmas, who also does a very good job this time of year, will be visiting our offices again soon, so if you want a Santa letter from him you’ll have to write to him first; details are on page 10. He was very thankful for all the biscuits that got dropped off for him at our offices last year so is looking especially forward to his visit this year!
