The Friends of the Museum
FOLLOWING ON THE popularity of last year’s Coffee and
Cakes in the Museum Garden, on alternate Thursdays until
September. So we look forward to welcoming you on July 7th and 21st and August 4th and 18th, 10.30 to 12.30.
We are also organising an afternoon of musical entertainment with a glass of Pimms in the garden on July 24th from 2.30 to 4.30. Posters will be displayed around the town and tickets will be available for £8 in advance at the museum (children free).
N.B. The exhibition of Wedding Dresses is on until September 30th.
This is a plea for items which are needed for the children’s fun days which are coming up in August and October at The Cowper and Newton Museum!
DO yOU KNOW anybody who has a Victorian (or similar) washing dolly and washboard? We’d be really grateful if you or anyone you know would be willing to donate these items to us.
Secondly, do you know anyone who has a maypole for maypole dancing? Please get in touch ASAP if you know where we can get our hands on any of these items cheaply or for free!
