We have another picture bonanza inside the magazine for you this month with coverage of loads of events in the area, and you will find more pictures on our website at www.phoneboxmag.co.uk
Some of July’s main events in the area are Newport Pagnell’s Carnival and Parklife Festival; we will be there in force, and the events will be featured in next month’s mag. Also look out for Olney’s Community Choir Summer Gala Concert on 9th July in aid of Willen Hospice, more info inside the magazine.
If you want to email us any photos you have taken of events attended by yourselves in the area please feel free to do so; if we can’t feature all of them we certainly will put them on our website. Don’t forget you can also write to me at editor@phoneboxmag.co.uk with any contributions you
Dear Phonebox
I see ‘Olney Resident’ cannot resist having a sly dig at Milton Keynes at the end of his letter.
Personally I couldn’t care less about what happens in Olney, but since your magazine arrives unbidden through my letterbox for some strange reason, I’d like to point out that judging by the jam of cars trying to get into Olney from MK each evening, a good proportion of Olney folk get their employment in Milton Keynes, do their shopping in Milton Keynes and go to Milton Keynes for their entertainment!
Olney is jolly lucky to have a vibrant, prosperous city on their doorstep which, I would suggest, goes a long way in providing Olney and surrounding villages with the high standard of living they’re so keen to protect.
As long as we in the City don’t contaminate the delightfully quaint village life Olney residents are so proud of, I suppose the inhabitants of the ‘big City’ are welcome to come and spend our money in the bijou shops and restaurants adorning your High Street!
Milton Keynes resident Dear Editor
Wanted to let you know that we and several friends love the walking articles that appear in almost every issue. We would like to send you our support and say 'well done' for featuring some good local walks, with informative script and photos, that are easy to follow - haven't got lost yet! Please keep this feature going.
Yours, Rusty Ramblers, Newport Pagnell
