OLNEY CAMERA CLUB
JudGE AdRIAn dAvIES from Milton Keynes had more than he bargained for at the Camera Club’s projected images competition when the computer programme stalled during the first few minutes. With over 100 entries to get through there were some tense moments but, thanks to Andy Gailer’s technical skills, normal service was resumed and the judging continued as planned!
The entries for the competition were in three categories and the winning images were as follows: Portraits – Lisa Winson’s lovely picture entitled “new Braces” which also took the Image of the Evening prize. Lisa also won the Open category with her image entitled “Punk Pelican” and the Water category was won by Colin Gadsby with his picture of a waterfall in the Lake district entitled “Aira Force”. All three winners scored a maximum of 20 points.
The annual inter club competition with Towcester Camera Club will take place on 18th May at Towcester and the entries for this event will be chosen during the week before the competition.

CAR BOOT
River Meadow Pre-School and Tickford Park Primary school are teaming up for their first joint fundraising event so please come and see us at our Car Boot/Table Top Sale on Saturday 14th May, between 10am and 2pm. Any money raised will go towards improving the outside play areas. Entrance is just 50p per adult and there will be no charge for children. If you fancy a bite to eat we will also be serving bacon sandwiches in the morning and a BBQ at lunchtime. Tea/Coffee and other light refreshments will also be available. There will also be a bouncy castle for the kids, weather permitting.
If you would like to book a pitch or a table top yourself then please email rivermeadowpreschool@btco nnect.com with your name & phone number and we will contact you as soon as possible. Cars £5 each (1 per pitch) and Table Tops £3 each. Gates will open at 9am for setting up.
