Playgroup
Yardley Hastings Playgroup is a lovely small village playgroup which runs from the Yardley Hastings Primary School Hall which is in the centre of the village. The pre-school attendees have a wonderful time learning through play and activities and also enjoy a weekly assembly with the Reception Children from the School.
Last term we had a fabulous time with the children. We enjoyed a nature walk and played in the snow; we had fun making bats for halloween and building our very own playgroup Guy Fawkes for bonfire night; we made Pudsey Bears and helped raise money for Children in Need; we discovered Africa and China and learnt through play all about jungle animals, shapes, colours and patterns!
In December our children performed brilliantly in the Playgroup Nativity singing their favourite Christmas songs. We even had a visit from Father Christmas who bought a present for each boy and girl - it was magical.
Next term we plan to have lots of fun including outdoor outings and Easter activities. We are very much looking forward to the New Year and welcoming children who are joining us in January 2011.
On behalf of the committee and staff we would like to wish all our children and their families a very happy New Year.
