Robin Hood brings the good this Christmas! Monday 6 – Thursday 30 December 2010
THERE ISN’T LONG to go until the opening of The Castle’s Christmas musical adventure, Robin Hood! The production will run from Monday 6 – Thursday 30 December and will provide festive fun for the whole family!
Have you seen the man who goes by the name of Robin Hood? According to folk lore, he steals from the rich to give to the poor! All your favourite characters will be there, with Friar Tuck, Little John, and of course the love interest Maid Marion. You’ll see all the action
unfold with the Sheriff of Nottingham and you can decide – who’s the real baddie after all?! We are delighted that Emmerdale’s Richard Grieve will be taking on the role of the Sheriff of Nottingham! Richard played the role of Jonny Foster in the popular soap from 2007 to 2009. Audiences may recognize him from his roles in favourite Australian soaps, playing biker Sam Kratz in Neighbours in 1994 and then Dr Lachlan Frazer in Home and Away in 1996.
Artistic Director Nik Ashton says, “Following the huge success of our 2009 production The Jungle Book, I am delighted to announce this year’s Christmas offering will be an energetic and entertaining version of Robin Hood. I can promise our audiences a high quality musical adventure suitable for all the family.”
