Olney Raft Race 2010
A quick reminder that this year's Duck and Raft Races will be held on Sunday 27th June, and there’s still time to enter. Whether you’re aiming to beat last year’s winning time of 25 minutes, or even just to get to the finish, all are welcome! We start with the Duck Race at 1.00pm at the weir in Emberton Park, then continue with the Raft Race at 2.00pm. The course runs downstream to the Swimming Steps where the first rafts should start to arrive at 2.30pm or so. At the finish, we've got entertainments, refreshments, a small fair and a bar and, for the first time this year we also have water zorbs – see http://www.water-warriors.co.uk/ .

Charity Pamper and Nurture Day for
Willen Hospice
Complementary and beauty therapists from across Milton Keynes are coming together on Saturday June 26th to offer their services in return for donations to Willen Hospice. Reflexology, manicures, reiki, facials, spiritual healing and Indian head massage are among the treatments on offer at The Well in Willen.
The event is the brain child of local Reiki therapist Paula Inch. “We hope lots of people will drop in to recharge their own batteries with a treatment or two while helping to fund this fantastic local charity. Treatments will start from £5 and every penny raised will go to Willen Hospice.” The doors are open from 10am until
5pm with refreshments and cakes available all day. No booking is required. The Well is on Newport Road, Willen, MK15 9AA.

Lavendon School
