Dear Ed
Dear Editor
I was interested to read the article Etc & Etc or even less by Geoff Bacchus and agreed with his sentiments on the decline of the English language. However I felt compelled to write as I spotted a howler in his last paragraph! A split infinitive! I know that these days grammar does not seem to be important, but I had correct English dinned into me at school and at home and the sentence ...need for politics to JUST get out of the way... leapt off the page! Did anybody else spot this lapse?
Regards
Hilary O’Dell (Mrs), Stevington

Perambulating around town the surface area of roofs receiving solar heating is obvious as is their potential to reduce exposure to future energy shocks.
New legislation recently regulated by Parliament means no planning permissions are required for solar or ground source heat pumps.
Listed buildings and conservation areas are exempted, advice should be sought from MK Council.
There are many variables to consider when making a decision on the economics of incorporating energy collection into your exploitation of energy.
The energy saving trust website has a guide to help you assess options. http://www.energysavingtrust.org.uk/renewableselector/start/
Previously the capital cost of these exotic alternatives has persuaded the sapient to wait for the market to expand.
If you have a modern well insulated home and are considering replacing a conventional boiler a simple ground source heat pump is now comparable over the installations typical life time with the most efficient gas boiler.
Combining a ground source heat pump with a photovoltaic roof installation will be the optimum collection strategy early next year.
Government proposals for feed in tariffs will fill the gap between the cost of photovoltaic from April 2010 to grid parity ~2020.
