Olney Town Cricket Club
The end of the cricket season is upon us already, and the final league positions for the Saturday teams were as follows:
After relegation last year, the Saturday 1st XI finished a respectable third in Division 2. Whilst the Saturday 2nd XI finished fifth in Division 5.
The Sunday league team proved yet again to be the stars of the year, finishing top of their division. However, due to possible changes in the league next season with the addition of some new clubs with aspirations greater than ours, we are not yet sure whether we will be promoted. If this is the case, Captain Simon Gratland will be mightily relieved that he will have fewer selection headaches!

We also took the opportunity to officially unveil two benches that have been purchased by the Club and are dedicated to the memory of Bob Soul and Melvyn Sibley, two great stalwarts of the Club that passed away in recent times.
As is now becoming traditional, the Pavilion will be open on Fireworks Night, which this year falls on Saturday, 31st October. You’ll get a great view from the Pavilion, so do come down and join in the fun.
Finally, the latest lucky 100 Club draw winners are Ian Morgan with a win of £100, and Fiona Rickard who wins £30.
