Alms Houses Party
Olney’s new Mayor was invited to attend the annual cocktail party of the Anne Hopkins Smith Alms Houses Trust. This is an opportunity for all of the residents to have a little get together with the Trustees and Tony Evans, the Chairman of the Trustees, is seen welcoming
some new residents after the extensive refurbishment of all of the properties. Mayor Michael Hughes is seen in the company of his wife Susan and Brenda Harris, the Alms Houses Site Warden.
Morgan Owners Meet in Olney
The Morgan Car Company which is 100 years old this year, have a very active owners club, called the Morgan Sports Car Club, which decided to have a branch meeting here in Olney on the weekend of 15th May and attracted the presence of their National Chairman Mr Brian Lee. They met up from various locations and
our Mayor, Michael Hughes is seen welcoming them to Olney for their first night dinner. The Mogmeet as it is known was organised and hosted by local owner and enthusiast, Mike Pullen together with the help of others and local councillor Dave Price, also an owner, played his part in making sure the event was recognised locally.
