Olney Camera Club
Apresentation by Derek Bucket from Desborough on “Snap Decisions” proved to be an interesting evening for members. Derek started the evening by showing an assortment of cameras dating back to the old Kodak Brownie. This was followed by his collection of photographs dating from the 1950’s in black and white through to the first colour film photos and to his more recent digital images.
The first evening walkout of the year was poorly supported so check the programme and get your cameras out to make the most of the long summer evenings.

Museum Matters
Following on from their AGM at which outgoing chairman, Margaret Nicholas, reported on another very
successful year for The Friends of the Museum plans are afoot for further fund-raising events including summer coffee mornings during the
months of June, July, August and September in the much admired and peaceful Museum gardens and a Quiz Evening at The Olney Centre. This will be held on Friday 19th June starting at 8.00pm and will follow the usual format with teams of six. Tickets priced at £8.00pp will include supper and can be purchased in the Museum or can be reserved by ringing Alison on 01234 711901. Bring your own drinks.

LEARN TO SING IN FOUR-PART HARMONY
The popular free singing course organised by MK Acapella is to be held once again. The six-week course is being held at Stanton School, Fairfax, Bradville on Monday evenings 7.30 to 9 p.m. commencing on Monday 8th June 2008. No musical knowledge is needed and all tuition and learning materials will be provided free. We provide a relaxed environment in which to learn to sing in a group. It is especially suitable for those who find themselves singing hymns and can’t get up to the high notes! The course is open to all and is supported by a national singing charity. For the first time we are introducing a separate stream for the ladies with the help of Junction 14. Learn the joy of singing in a group and gain the opportunity to join established singing groups.
