Dear Editor
Thank you and all at the Phonebox for keeping us locals up to date with events and news in this area. There are many events that I would not have known about if it had not been for your publication. Over the years I have come to trust the advertisers and use many of them for things which need doing or fixing etc at home. It is great to support locally and keep our community thriving. I read about the Three Hares Gallery in your mag and have really enjoyed the monthly exhibitions.

My first visit to the Museum was fascinating. It is full of interesting information and old pictures of Olney which you can just about recognise.
I had visited the Museum garden many years ago and it was lovely to see it again. The exhibitions in the Gallery encouraged me to join the Museum as a friend. This means that you can go into the Gallery, Museum and Garden as often as you like for the year. It is only slightly more than one visit to join as a friend so it is very good value for money.
Having been around the Museum a couple of times, my monthly visits are now for the Gallery and the delightful garden. If you are lucky enough to bump into Charlie Knight who takes great care and works very hard with all the volunteers, he may stop for a minute and have a chat. He is a very knowledgeable person as is his wife, don't let him tell you he grows beans with blue flowers though!
Ann Walker who runs the Museum Gallery has been working very hard to put on a great variety of events in the gallery. When she first contacted our group, we were delighted to participate. The Newton Blossomville Art Group will be holding an exhibition at the Gallery from Friday 28th November to Tuesday 23rd of December.
This will be your last opportunity as the Museum closes from then until March 2009. Most of our work will be for sale so how about giving someone a lovely original painting for Christmas. The Museum will benefit too as a percentage of our sales will go to the Museum funds.
Many thanks, Karen Rainbow
