The weather forecast was awful but 30+ ladies turned out to play in a 5- a-side football tournament to raise over £1,000 for Cancer Research.
The tournament was adjusted to suit six teams instead of eight as we were a few players short. The teams played four games each in the first round whcih saw the Olney Osteopathic Surgery and In2fab knocked out.
In the semi-finals, League 1 saw Eccurie Bertelli and CMF battle it out in a very competitive game which ended 2–1 to CMF.
League 2 had a less agressive semi-final with Waterline plc coming out 4–0 over Advision who put in a great fight and with the youngest player of the tournament, Eleanor.
The final was very exciting, both teams tiring from the five games they had already played. A very determined team CMF won 2-1 as the final whistle was blown.
Well done and thank you to all who took part in the event.
