Rose Court Fashion Show
Rose Court in Olney, hosts a special charity fashion show in aid of The British Organ Donor Society.
The prospect of a summer shower on the evening of 31st July certainly did not dampen the spirits of all those who took their seats for the Rose Court al fresco fashion show.
Clem Curtis provided a fantastic musical accompaniment to a truly exciting show where Bex Boutique showcased new season collections, hats and accessories for day, evening and special occasions, and announced the imminent arrival of their much anticipated ‘God Save the Queen’ collection.
Beautiful brides paraded down the catwalk in a selection of new season gowns from Samuels Bridalwear, and the show was rounded up by Watermelon Lingerie customers curvy and slim, young and not so young, modelling a selection of beautiful lingerie sets. A much enjoyed finale included Olney Rugby Club ‘Player of the Year’ and Bedford Policeman Mark Lay sporting not much more than a top hat and a designer pair of boxer shorts with his wedding-lingerie clad ‘bride’, Emma.
All shops in the Courtyard had very generously contributed a selection of raffle prizes – which included a £350 designer bag from Lily T, several clothing vouchers fromBex, jewellery fromThe House Gallery and 6 sets of lingerie from Watermelon - in aid of the British Organ Donor Society (Deborah at Watermelon has just been fortunate enough to receive her fourth organ transplant).
Over £600 was raised on the evening for the charity which funds valuable medical research and supports families who have been involved in organ donation. Everyone in Rose Court would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along to enjoy the fun, for being so generous.
Bex Boutique, Samuels Bridalwear, Watermelon Lingerie, The House Gallery and Lily T remained open for customers until late evening and The Courtyard Brasserie continued to serve drinks to all those dancing along to Clem and his trio. The last dancing guests left just before midnight.
