Yep, it would appear that as soon as the summer gets into full swing teenagers everywhere are dragging on their clothes ridiculously early in the morning to get back into the classrooms.
Fighting Back!
Don’t worry though - here is a page to read under the desk in maths when your teacher isn’t looking! I am writing this with only a few days before my results, and suddenly my nerves seem to be

After reading last months The Phonebox, I was very pleased to discover that teenagers from Olney and Newport Pagnell are making a stand, and fighting back at the accusations which are flung at us. The points which were made in Letters to the Editor were very mature, and I agree almost entirely with their content. In general, youths in Milton Keynes are not loud and rude, nor drunk and disorderly. Although there are a few (as expected in any area) who let us down, overall kids just need something to do. We gather in public places, which surely shows that there is no intention of wrong doing, as we congregate in the area patrolled by Police Community Support Officers.

I am sure most
teenagers in Milton Keynes have heard of the band Vindication at one point. Over the past years they have been becoming increasingly big, showing a passion for many kinds of music.
I recently heard a rumour that Newport Pagnell Skate Park is not being re- built. If this is the case I would hope that adult members of the council consider the consequences of taking such areas away. An entire community meet up in this area - boys skating, and girls talking - and there is rarely any trouble.
This energetic bunch of boys can really create some touching and funky tracks and perfect to listen to when you feel you want some powerful music blasting in your ears. The group are undoubtedly musically talented, and the teenagers show their passion by their consistency over the years. With a wide range of influences, from Cradle Of Filth to Bloc Party to Thin Lizzy, it’s not surprising these guys have made a really unique sound.
If the Skate Park in Newport Pagnell is not rebuilt, there will be many more youths “hanging around” in the High Street and in areas where they are likely to make others feel threatened (through no fault of their own). Also, they are removing facilities for people who enjoy having a hobby of skating or bmx- ing, therefore creating an even less active teenage community. I know that many people around me agree and think that taking away facilities such as the skate park is only going to increase problems.
I hope that people stop accusing innocent teenagers who simply wish to have a good time with friends, and stop generalising us as Yobs.
They are currently recording, and are set to have an EP released by the end of October. As always, the guys are looking for new places to gig and show off their stuff, and the next gig is 24th of October at the Crawford Arms in Wolverton.

Bitter Conflict
You may remember that a few months ago I mentioned this band, with Aaron Sidwell (Stephen Beale) in it. Unfortunately the band have now split up and have gone their own ways. I went with 2 friends went to Camden to see their last performance, only to discover that as it was an 18+ gig and we could not go in. We were disappointed, but still had the Eastenders star walk past us and smile (hurrah). I wish the boys luck in what they are doing from now on, and I will be looking out to see if they are forming other bands.

Collectormania is returning to Milton Keynes on Thursday 25th- Sunday 28th of September! The line up is still being announced but stars from Angel, and the recent TV dramas Life on Mars and Ashes To Ashes are making an appearance over the week.
What a film! This is one of the most hilarious films I have seen in a long time, as I could relate to it in many ways. It is about a group of girls who are all about 14, and are discovering the joys and disappointments of growing up, and trying to find boyfriends. The characters are quite exaggerated, but somehow are still very lifelike. Watching it with my best friend I found that I was very impressed at the way the teenage cast showed their emotions, and feelings. It is a film that’s perfect for a girly night in, or for guys who want an insight into life for teenage girls (however it might be an idea to remember that not all girls plot about boys as the girls do in the film). Brilliant.
I discovered this website thanks to a mate, and it’s pretty damn cool .
