St Peter’s Tyringham with Filgrave
St Peter’s Tyringham with Filgrave is a delightful Victorian church with many Arts and Crafts features. In 1985 it was on the point of being declared redundant saved only by protesting parishioners, during the prolonged negotiations it suffered the effects of damp. Only now after many years of remedial work and with the help of a generous grant can work begin on the most exciting project, the restoration of the chancel stencilling. An ambitious project costing some £40,000. A series of fund raising events during 2008 were planned the most successful so far being the fete at Tyringham Hall, which raised £4,000. The next events are:
