One of these was a musical evening held on Saturday 14th July to mark Brian Lintern’s retirement. The evening raised over £500 towards the project. Congratulations to Kate Porter who was confirmed as the new chair of Lavendon Parish Council at its meeting on Monday 9th July. Kate follows in the footsteps of Nigel Alexander, who has been a commendable chairman for the past nine years. Members of the council placed on record their appreciation for Nigel’s dedication during that time. Richard Farrar replaces Kate as
the vice-chair.
Following the introduction of the ban on smoking in public places on 1st July, Reg & Lyn Pearson took the
brave decision to completely close The Robin Hood at Clifton Reynes for a brief period for complete redecoration. Already voted as MK CAMRA Pub of the Year 2007, The Robin Hood is now even more pleasant than it was before. Reg is now looking forward to presenting another of his infamous live music events at the pub. Following on from their amazing performance at Glastonbury the legendary Chas and Dave will be appearing at The Robin Hood on Friday 24th August. Chas Hodges and Dave Peacock, along with
