Olney Town Colts are holding a Beer Festival and Hog Roast on 16th June for members of the club and anyone else interested in a fun evening. This is our biggest fund raising event of the year with all proceeds going to the children's football development.
We expect to entertain up to 500 people in a specially erected Marquee on the football field. We are calling the event 'Booze on the Ouse' (yes we did copy the name!).
Guest ales will be provided, as well as access to the football club bar.
Route 66 plus other guest players will be providing the entertainment. Tickets can be bought at Orchard Press, Bacchus or J H Parkin.

Olney Town Colts ~ Play in Cup Final at MK Dons
On Sunday 20th May Olney Town Spitfires played in the League Cup at the MK Dons Football Stadium. Having finished runners up in division 2 the season had already been a good one and a cup final place was an added bonus. Getting changed in the MK Dons Home Team changing room provided a special start to the occasion and a good crowd of family and friends assembled to give the team a rousing welcome. The
opposition, Leighton Town FC, were known to be a strong team challenging for the Division 1 title and we were under no illusion that this would be a tough test.
The match was played on the full size Dons pitch and the quality of passing was a credit to both teams. The first half was even with Leighton taking the lead halfway through with an excellent finish from a corner. Olney responded quickly afterwards with Sam Haslam feeding William Ray down the left who finished clinically with a shot over the keepers head.
The second half proved more difficult as perhaps the size of the pitch resulted in some tired legs. Leighton broke through on several occasions and only good goalkeeping by Dan Shaw and last ditch tackles by Alex Smail, Jack Moroney, Richard Betterman, Luke Burbridge and Sam Guilmard kept the score to 4-1.
Leighton is a well organised team particularly strong in defence but hopefully having enjoyed the experience we will have learnt from it and be back for more next season. K
