I would like to express my sincere and heartfelt thanks to all my dear friends who purchased copies of my recently published book of poems ‘Pam’s Potpourri’. The encouragement given to me by my family and friends to go ahead with the project has guaranteed a wonderful result and I am very flattered at the kind comments I have received. I would also like to thank my friends and family for being the inspiration of some ‘special’ poems and who gladly consented to be incuded in the book.
With your support and generosity I have been delighted to forward a cheque for £1,250 to the British Heart Foundation in memory of my dearly loved husband Derek.

Dear Editor
Last night, 19 March, sometime between 10.30pm and 5.30am this morning, thieves broke into a white van parked outside the front of our house at the lower end of Olney Road, Emberton. A toolbox was taken with some very inexpensive tools (the box marked with ‘O’Connor and Son’) and a pair of wellies.
The toolbox belonged to my husband’s father who passed away just a couple of years ago and has deep sentimental value. If anyone has them, please feel free to either leave them in the garden from where they were stolen, or at the Phonebox Magazine – no questions will be asked. It was foolish of me to leave them on view.
