Full house for Jaipur charity dinner
The Rotary Club of Newport Pagnell held its 11th Annual Charity Dinner recently at the magnificent Jaipur Restaurant in Central Milton Keynes. Two hundred and twenty Rotarians, guests and friends packed into the award winning Indian restaurant for an evening of fun food, friendship and a raffle, and in the process raised over £3,000 for the International Rotary approved Jaipur Limb Charity.
The Rotary organisation was represented by members of around 11 Rotary Clubs, some from the local area and others from further afield. The annual event, originated in 1996, could not succeed without the enormous support of the owner of the Jaipur Restaurant, Abdul Ahad, himself an honorary member of the Newport Pagnell Rotary Club. The restaurant’s direct support involves 50% of the meal price being given
back to the club as a contribution to this very worthwhile charity.

The Jaipur Limb Charity originated in Jaipur, India some years ago and its purpose is to supply artificial limbs and other essential aids to those in need and with limited financial resources.
