With Christmas fast approaching we have a wide choice of shopping options in the region. All our towns and villages have something to offer, so ‘look local’ first and save yourself a wait for that bus or a search for that car parking space.
Olney’s Dickens of a Christmas is on Sunday 10th December and has a park and ride scheme in place in the town. The Farmers Market will be at the Castle Pub in the town.
A night with Route 66 in aid of Cynthia Spence Hospice at Home Service is at the Olney Working Men’s Club on Saturday 2nd December, tickets are going fast – see inside for details.
Also in the region is an appeal, supported by Phonebox Magazine, from the Olney-Newton Link, which has now become a charity. One method of support is to become a Friend of Olney-Newton Link. For a minimum donation of £10 you will be kept informed of progress via newsletters or email. See page 49 for more details.
And finally, Father Christmas is popping into our offices as usual to pick up your letters sent to him via ourselves (see page 56), please write in as soon as possible. Anyone who has had a letter from him before through ourselves will know that he writes an especially good letter to children who read Phonebox Magazine. Happy Christmas to all.
