News from Lavendon School
On June 8th our Foundation and year one children went on a visit to The Hanson Environmental Centre in Great Linford, Milton Keynes. The children enjoyed the visit very much. The photograph shows the children looking very proud of the island they had made for their bears. The island needed to have food, shelter, water and air for the bears. d

Saturday 8th July – 10am to 5pm Sunday 9th July – 1pm to 5pm Once again, following the success a
few years ago of a similar event, St Mary’s Church in Carlton is holding a Grand Art and Craft Exhibition on Saturday and Sunday, 8th and 9th July at Carlton Village Hall (the school building off The Moor). The Church committee has been overwhelmed with support from local artists, and craftspersons from the whole region, and anticipates that there will be a large number of
original works for display, most of which will be for sale, making this an exhibition not to be missed. The event will run from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 1pm to 5pm on Sunday.
Light refreshments will be available on both days, as well as a light lunch on the Saturday. d
