Members from neighbouring  s were welcomed by Doris Kent to the June meeting held
at the Olney Centre.
Dressed in period costume, Martin Sirot­ Smith assumed the role of the owner of Sulgrave Manor. Bringing history to life, this eloquent speaker had his audience transported back in time to the first
Elizabethan era, not all glamour and red cloaks on puddles  r the common folk.
This was a most fascinating insight into life and time at Sulgrave Manor and many WI ladies will soon be seen visiting the house and grounds.
Many more good speakers will be addressing Olney meetings in the coming months, so please check our notice board on the market square. •

ur annual Creativity days took place on May 24th and 25th.The
children had a great time trying out lots of different activities from Modroc to decorating the swimming pool area with a water theme. The ladies  om the Knit tin shop in Olney helped the children to create a wonderful textural collage of po  po  and knitted minibeasts.
Simon Root, a local artist came to help us make an enormous fish tank with giant fish!
A great time was had by all involved and we look forward to next year! •
