CORNFIELDS OLNEY AND SURROUNDING VILLAGES UNDER THREAT DID you realise that the development of the OY2 Aspreys/Yardley Road "Greenfield" site is being carried out to fund the building of the Yardley/A509 link road. DID you know that Northampton will be signposted from the A509 roundabout, thus imposing large volumes of traffic on Weston Underwood and surrounding villages. DID you realise that the rest of the traffic will then be funnelled down Weston Road to the A505 avoiding the High Street. • DID you know it has been intimated that most of the land beyond said site has probably been earmarked for development for years. DID you realise that the proposed new school site on Aspreys will cause chaos. School coaches and cars dropping children off on a road being used as a by-pass. The season gets underway on Saturday 23rd April 2005 . The most important date in the early calendar is Sunday 15th May. It is our " Open Day" when we welcome all comers. We have gained many new members as a result of past "Open Days" and look forward to anyone who fancies "Having a go". We would be seeking more Lady members and young newcomers.
