supporters and everyone involved in setting up this remarkable event. It did Newport Pagnell proud.
Plans are now drawing closer for the housing development by Redrow Homes on the old Aston Martin Site. Many discussions, debates and deliberations have taken place to get to the current position of the developer preparing and submitting a planning application to Milton Keynes Council. One of the outcomes of all the discussion is the removal of plans that reduce parking on Priory Street.
On the 17th and 18th June 2017 Newport Pagnell is holding a Vintage Weekend focusing on the 1940s. There will be a superb range of activates including two static aircraft displays to visit: the Spit re and Messerschmitt, along with their crews for the weekend. The Military Police re-enactment group will be nding any spies who may be present. There will be a vintage car show and military vehicle display, 100 stalls to visit, and re-enactors and activities that bring the High Street alive. You can go to a high tea, a tea dance or a big band dance and you can learn to Lindyhop. You might even be able to take part in a tug-of-war whilst the children enter the egg and spoon races. The review looks at the level of usage and general condition of play areas. The economic viability also needs to be considered. The Town Council is currently looking at the proposals from MKC and considering the options.
I am pleased to confirm that the new changing rooms and showers at Middleton Pool have been completed and they are a great improvement on the old showers and changing rooms. Many positive and encouraging comments have been received. My wife is also grateful that the hair driers are now also free. As a result Newport Pagnell has truly remarkable leisure centre

The Town Council will continue to provide the range of activity currently available at the Youth Centre and has plans to increase the age range of Youth activity in the near future.
What an excellent event the civil war re- enactment on Bury Filed proved to be over the bank holiday weekend. We watched the Royalists take control of Newport Pagnell on Sunday 28th and the Parliamentarians regain control on Monday the 29th. Fortunately the real war took place over 350 years ago, not far from the site of the re-enactment. Around 8000 people visited the event. Congratulations to the committee, the
