Medical Detection Dogs
Trained Medical Detection Dogs have a high success rate in detecting prostate cancer from urine samples and breast cancer from breath.
They reduce the number of unnecessary biopsies and other testing incurred by the NHS due to exceptionally high number of false positive tests generated by current prostate testing
Medical Assistance Dogs
Medical Assistance Dogs are partnered with someone suffering from certain illnesses or conditions that can result in sudden life threatening situations.
These dogs can detect potential problems before they become critical allowing the patient plenty of time to take their medication to counter the onset of the crisis. They create massive savings to the health service by reducing A&E callouts.
Awareness session at the Carlton Club to let visitors meet the charity and see the dogs in action.
