THE LIONS DEN
WELCOME KAREN
We were delighted to welcome a new member into our happy band when Karen Thorp Morgan became a fully fledged Lion immediately doubling the number of women members in the process.
The club is slowly but surely increasing in strength which is vital if we are to be able to continue our community efforts in you? Could you help us continue to serve the two towns and surrounding area? It could be easier than you think.
Lions, what we are and how you can help, why not drop an email to npolneylions@ gmail.com and someone will be in touch.
We need members but recognise that being part of a formal organisation is not everyone’s cup of tea. As a result we formed our “Friends of Lions” some years ago which is a group of people willing to give us an hour or so when we are struggling for numbers at any events we are involved in. Providing your email address or other contact details will enable us to let you know when we will make use of your services. If not? Perhaps you will be next time.
MK SPORT
Sport MK run the annual Achievers Awards which recognise sporting achievements in the Milton Keynes area and over the past few years our club has helped by making a donation towards the award for the Disabled Team of the Year. We will be doing so again this year.
President Trevor Aldred and the members of the Lions club would like to thank all readers of the Phonebox who have supported the club in any way over the past year. Your encouragement and assistance makes all the difference.
And Finally
Will you be doing some internet shopping for Christmas Presents? Why not do it via our shopping partner and earn a donation for our club. Visit our website www. npolneylions.btck.co.uk for further details.
