We are grateful for the cooperation of the Town Council for the use of the Market Place for two days, and to the very many volunteers, many of whom give up a days holiday to help marshall the event, and a special thank you to the team who man the road closure of the busy A509 through the town for the duration of the race.
The whole trip was a veritable Journey of a Lifetime and was proof positive of so much good in the world. Mike and Susan Hughes
We should not forget that Shrove Tuesday is an important day in the Christian calendar, and the Shriving Service held
in our wonderful Parish Church immediately after
the race is the highlight of the day, and we thank
all those involved for making it so special.
