Olney Chamber holds successful first business event
Olney Chamber Of Trade held their first business exhibition on Wednesday 2nd february 2011 at bridge house in Olney.
Sponsored by Jane Smith financial Planning and marcus Jordan Property management, the event enabled local business people to get a flavour of the wide range of local businesses based in the Olney and surrounding area.
Visitors from across beds, bucks and northants had the chance to talk first-hand to the exhibitors, make new contacts and meet potential customers. Several presentations ran throughout the day providing information on a wide range of subjects, from legal matters and hr, to search engine optimisation and
social media, brand marketing and personal branding.
Visitors also got some tips on setting up a business from people who have recently done it themselves - owners of hopping mad, Olney's first and only brewery!
“This is the first time Olney Chamber have organised a business exhibition like this,” says Samantha Tomlin, one of the organisers of the event. “With nearly 20 exhibitors and more than 70 visitors attending throughout the day, the event really showcased the vibrant business community in Olney. It was great to see some great connections made - the whole day had a real buzz about it!"
