Make up a shoebox Christmas present, and put a smile on a child's face
The children say “Thank You”
LAST YEAR, THROUGH Operation Christmas Child, over 1.2 million shoeboxes were packed full of gifts and goodies to be sent to children in disadvantaged situations from all around the UK.
The needs of the world can seem overwhelming, but this is one way in which we can help to make a difference. Every shoebox present donated ensures that one more child gets a present this Christmas. Last year, using the drop off point at Olney Baptist Church, we sent 351 shoebox gifts, which went to needy children in Belarus and Serbia.
Of course, the message of Christmas isn’t about how
many presents you get, but sending somebody a present is a sign that you care about them. Let’s show the needy children of this
world that we do care about them and want to help.
Leaflets giving full instructions on how to complete your shoebox gift are available in the front entrance area of Olney Baptist Church, Market Place, Olney, on Saturday and Sunday mornings, or you can use the contact details below to request any number of leaflets.
