Gilpin Tennis Club Triumph in
MK League
Both the men’s and ladies’ teams from Gilpin have once again been crowned Division One Champions in the Milton Keynes Tennis League.
The men beat stiff opposition from Milton Keynes T.C. and Stony Stratford T.C. to regain the title that eluded them last year – having won it for a record 12 years!
The ladies had comfortable wins over all their opposition, only dropping 2 sets all season. They then went on to beat Stony Stratford ladies in the ladies knockout final by 8 sets to 0.
Unfortunately, the men lost a thrilling knockout final against Milton Keynes A. Although 2-2 at the change-over they lost a crucial tiebreak and went down 5-3.
