THE SNOW brought us all something different last month, one challenge may have been getting to work, another getting the settings right on the digital camera, or perhaps, after finding that old sledge in the garage, pulling the kids all over the place! This last one certainly took place and it was nice to see so many parents and children taking advantage of the snow together.
I can’t seem to remember a “snow day” myself, but I can remember some great days of snow. I’m sure the kids who got a few extra days off and were out with their friends or parents will remember these days as well. A couple of parents I spoke to certainly remembered their slightly sore backs and legs with all that sledge work a couple of days after!
Memories like this will last a long time, and one person who certainly has a few memories celebrated his 100th birthday last month. Congratulations to Harold Metcalfe, who still gets out and about, snow or no snow. See our pictures of his big day on page 34.
