Vibe
Heya guys! As the nights get shorter and we get closer to winter everyone seems to be getting back into the flow of school life after the summer. Many of my friends who have gone to college appear to be

really enjoying it, and as everyone branches out into different places it seems to be a milestone in life. Already in 6th form it is clear to see that people there want to learn and although everyone can
have a laugh they are enthusiastic about the subjects as well. I’m sure this is the same in college. For those of you who have gone into G.C.S.E’s year, good luck, and remember to have fun as well!
Kings of Leon
The Strangers
There are some really good songs out at the moment and the new tune, Sex On Fire by Kings of Leon is awesome! It has reached number one and although I have passively enjoyed the band for a
while, this song has made me want to listen to more of their stuff over and over again!
A new album has just come out- “Only By The Night” and after the long anticipated wait I hope it is worth it for everyone!
This is a REALLY creepy film. After waiting for it to come into the cinemas for quite a while, I went to see it in early September. I’m not going to lie; after about half an hour, I dragged myself and my boyfriend out and told him I did not want to watch any more. As I am easily scared anyway, this film, with an age rating of 15 (!?) terrified me because there were so many parts where you knew something the character didn’t. I found myself wanting to shout at the screen to warn them. I know
some of my other friends have
seen it and two of them cried! Having only seen the first section of the film, I cannot
properly review it, but what I will say is that it’s not for the weak hearted. It seems very psychological and I personally think it should be an 18. The film itself seemed very well done, as it was made to scare, but I would not choose to watch it again.
Stanford Hall Mini Show
Bring Me The Horizon
Old style Mini Coopers, it
would appear, are not simply
a car. They are a way of life
which a select few have
chosen to follow! At the Mini
Show in Stanford Hall on
Sunday the 14th of
September, as well as having many of the vehicle parts and traditional Minis on show, there were some seriously funky ones which
Suicide Season is out on the 29th of September. (as I am writing this before then, I cannot review it!)
No doubt there will be some awesome
tunes as always and people will be raving about it for months, especially as the band tour this year.
amazed me including a Camouflage Mini, Pink Playboy Mini, Flowery Shortie Mini, and even a Stretch Limo Mini.
Even for kids who don’t like this kind of music, I guarantee it will be very stress relieving! If you haven’t got the album yet- shame on you!
Clothes Show Live 2008!
As you may remember, I have been going to the clothes show in Birmingham NEC for a few years now, and it’s a great day out! This year the show is on from 5th-10th of December and is a fab place to buy all your friends Christmas presents! The highlight for me is the catwalk so make sure you book this show! It’s shopping heaven and the amount of freebies is just insane! It’s a must do for any stylish girlies, and even people who follow their own trends can be inspired here.
Autumn 2008 fashion lowdown!
Rich reds and inky blues are the key to style this autumn, along with other natural tones such as terracotta and cinnamon. Anything that looks like a leaf really!
As for accessories, this season’s rule is “the bigger the better” and oversized weighty jewellery is a must have. Fingerless gloves are making a comeback as a casual accessory which also keeps you warm (perfect)! Tartan is also really coming back this winter, along with uniform style outfits with large brass buttons.
