Mobile Surgery
This year’s mobile surgery proved to be another tremendous success. The four day tour visited every rural community in North Bucks and we saw a sizeable increase in the number of people coming to see us. I’m pleased to say that, apart from the now ubiquitous grumbles about Mr Brown, in the main people seemed keen just to say hello and with venues as varied as Olney Market Place, to village halls, pubs and park benches it was certainly tremendous fun!
Whilst I am always keen to get out and about in the country as much as possible, my regular surgery continues every other Friday in the Council Offices and a condensed mobile surgery will return next Easter.
Pat Slaney
Finally, I would just like to add my tribute to Pat Slaney, the former Olney Town Clerk who sadly passed away last month. Pat was a tremendous servant to the local community who always had a smile on her face. It was a real joy working with her and she will be sadly missed. K
