The poems are
available in her book ‘Reflections of the Heart’ with a CD of the poetry recited by actor David Kerby-Kendall with harp music by harpist and composer Rupert Parker. These as well as her first book ‘Mystery At The Opera House’ are still available by request from Words Book Shop in Olney or Orchard Press.
Her third book ‘Echoes of a Forgotten Life’ will be published later this year.
Here is her prize winning poem entitled ‘The Healing Garden’ witten in praise of Coton Manor Garden.
The Healing Garden
Enter the sun washed garden in which you lose yourself
among sweet scented blossoms in sparkling rainbow hues.
Silvered dew drops
clinging like strings of pearls
on velvet petals
soft as angel wings.
Shadowed arbours
swathed in sweet seclusion
Invite the soul to shed its weary burden.
While merry crystal water sprites dance in exuberant ecstasy
to merge with pools of deep reflection.
Joyous sounds quivering on the gentle breeze
performed by winged musicians bid the soul to stand
in breathless admiration.
And in the woodlands solf blue velvet Drapes the ground
In tender tranquil surrender.
While tall strong guardians Veiled in verdant green
Unfurl their slender branches In silent benediction.
Enter this enchanted garden In which you find yourself
And heal your wounded heart.
