Dear Sir
It is unbelievable that Milton Keynes Council voted to approve the totally inappropriately named wind farm in the shambolic meeting of 17 December 2007. To approve a scheme of such massive turbines in rural countryside is totally unacceptable.
Having viewed the plans for the above proposed wind farm I do not believe that building this wind farm is acceptable under any circumstances and wrote to Milton Keynes Council giving full reasons for my objections, it would appear the contents of my letter may not have been considered seriously.
I am certainly not anti-wind turbines, but believe they should only be located off shore and definitely not within ten miles of people’s homes.
It is my belief that a far more effective action to combat global warming is for all new builds to be fitted with solar panels, although expensive at present the cost would soon reduce if this policy was adopted. In the current climate of a frenzied building programme across the country it is sad that a golden opportunity is currently being missed.
Also, harnessing the vast amounts of available water power along the numerous rivers throughout the country is another missed opportunity.

Following the decision in favour of this factory I am joining with others to register my dismay in this decision. This is not a Milton Keynes wind factory. This is located in an area of natural beauty in the Ouse Valley as well as by the side of a road that is a notorious accident black spot. But that aside my husband and I are concerned as to how this decision was taken and strongly hope that it is debated in the correct manner and that common sense will prevail. These should be off shore not within two miles of villages and towns.
