Action Group (NAG)
Who are we, and what do we do?
The Olney Neighbourhood Action Group, or
NAG, was established nearly two years ago.
Our aim has been to increase public confidence, promote public safety and reduce crime and disorder. NAG is made up of representatives from your community, members of the public, local business owners, police, local councillors, and youth workers. We meet regularly to look at the priorities that have been identified by the local community, and determine how they can best be tackled. The members of NAG are, in effect, the ‘doers’ and the ‘problem solvers’, who are accountable locally through the community network for resolving the key issues identified by the community.
Would you like to join us?
You may have skills or knowledge that you would like to bring to the group. We meet once a month at The Olney Centre, to focus on improving community safety, the appearance of our town, and the prevention and reduction of crime and disorder.
You may wish to be involved in:
l Identifying community priorities.
l Problem solving and decision making on these priorities.
l Assisting with environment visual audits of the town.
l On-going reviews of the community priorities throughout the year.
