Vindiction
The group step to the stage to an uproar from two or three particularly enthusiastic fans and seem to have an edge of nerves about them. Lead singer and Bassist Max Preece steps up to the mike, and seems to be struggling to get his words out between laughter at some of the crowds gestures. A quick word of dedication from guitarist Matt, and the songs nerves vanish as the burst into their first song. The band seem like something entirely new from the time I saw them last. The Sound is polished , the set organised but free. The band look like they are really enjoying their performance this time, rather then being so wound up in the accuracy of it. That however isn’t to say it’s been sacrificed, both Tim and Matt combined to produce some really decent riffs, whilst the drumming combined well with several all round decent builds. The dual solo several songs (pictured bottom Centre) in was a real highlight and showed just how much the band have come on and gelled, Tim and Matt now seem a pair of guitarists together as opposed to individuals. The vocals also seemed to have been worked on considerably, with the exception of a few times where the volume could have been better the vocals were close to perfect.
The songs as well seemed to show a bit more depth to their music, whilst the influence of thrice was still clear, strong bass lines and builds showed the influence of some heavier bands. The occasional tapping intro and solos showed a good blend of rhythm and lead guitar as well, and really reflects the bands growth as the learn to blend with one-another . I’d definitely say at 15 and many years to go for this band they will be one worth watching without doubt.

Unofficial Superheroes
Although I was there so see the Vindic- tion guys play, the band that followed them also seriously impressed me. Lively stage performance, catchy tunes and unique sound, Unofficial Superheroes are definitely another young band I’d like to see again.
