Letters
Dear Editor
Following my tandem parachute jump in June, I would like to thank everyone who sponsored me in aid of the charity Social Eyes. Their kind generousity enabled me to raise £2,250, which is tremendous and for which the charity is really grateful.

Dear Editor
Milton Keynes is 40 this year!
Our charity is delighted to celebrate this milestone in Milton Keynes' history. Lots of people who came to live here forty years ago are still local residents, and many of them now benefit from the support we offer older people in the borough.
Age Concern Milton Keynes has grown, too. Founded nearly thirty years ago by a small group of volunteers running a weekly lunch club, we are now providing services and support to over 10,000 people a year.
Can you help us continue our work with older people in the borough for the next forty years? If you'd like to leave a legacy for future generations please help us now by raising just £40 for Age Concern Milton Keynes in this year of the 40th birthday celebrations. Cash or cheques (payable to ACMK) welcome!
Could you, for example, organise a sponsored activity/quiz/garage sale/bridge tournament/ dress-down day/open garden/coffee morning/barbecue...? The list is endless, and we would be delighted to give more ideas, help or publicity, if needed.
Anyone who organises a fundraiser for us will be recognised in our MK's 40th Birthday Book, to be displayed in our Peartree Centre, and will be remembered for helping us preserve our future (and perhaps yours!) in Milton Keynes.
Thanks for any support you can offer and I hope you have fun!
