Olney Camera Club
It has been a busy year for the Camera Club with a full programme of meetings and events. The weekly photo-shoots in and around the area proved popular and provided an opportunity for members to
develop their skills.
With most members having converted to digital cameras, the November table top competition put their skills to the test. Although the ladies won narrowly on points, the men produced some excellent pictures making good use of the studio lighting.
The last print competition of the year was held in December in three categories. The winner in each category was: Craftsman at Work – Jeff Taylor with ‘Lilliput’; Portraits – Barbara Fleming with ‘Jane’; Where time stood still – Andy Gailer with ‘Peterborough Cathedral’.
The best print of the evening was Barbara Fleming’s portrait of ‘Jane’.
The trophy for the highest number of points awarded in the print competitions for 2006 was presented to Maureen Smith with 42 points.
